Warranty Declaration for Engines, Transmissions, Cylinder Heads, Differentials, and Other Safety-Relevant Components

1. Start and Duration of Warranty

   The warranty begins on the date of sale and is granted for a period of 1 year or 12,000 km (to be proven by installation invoice).

2. Conditions of Warranty

   Installation of the components must be carried out by a certified automotive workshop, or such a workshop must confirm proper installation in writing. In the event of a defect, the component must be presented to the seller in its installed condition. For damage assessment, repair, replacement delivery, or rescission, the seller shall be granted a period of 14 days from receipt of the component.

3. Content and Scope of Warranty

   In the event of a justified warranty claim, the seller has the right to provide a replacement component requiring approximately equivalent repair effort, carry out repairs, issue a credit note, or, if applicable, refund the purchase price.

4. Limitations of Warranty

   Seals, shaft seals, oil consumption, existing ancillary units, and all attached parts such as tensioning devices, water pumps, thermostats, clutches, hoses, timing belts, timing chains, V-belts, etc., as well as any consequential damages caused by these, are generally excluded from the warranty. Warranty claims shall be void in the event of improper installation, damage caused by overheating, lack of oil, or use of the parts for any motorsport purposes, commercial use, or performance-enhancing modifications. Any conversion to non-approved operating fluids shall void any warranty/guarantee.

5. Special Notes

   For storage and environmental reasons, oil has been drained from most assemblies/components. Therefore, please check the oil level and replace the oil filter before recommissioning. For engines, the timing belt/timing chain must be replaced before initial operation. Warranty claims are limited to the replacement part itself and do not cover installation/removal costs or any other compensation. In the event of a warranty claim, the full amount will be reimbursed, but not exceeding the purchase price.

6. Miscellaneous

   Mileage information is provided without obligation, based on the previous owner’s statements and the recorded odometer reading, to the best of our knowledge and belief.

7. Place of Jurisdiction

   Place of jurisdiction is Brühl.

8. Warranty

   Spare parts from project/accident vehicles that have not been function-tested are subject to a warranty period of 3 months.

9. Trade Transactions

   No warranty is provided in dealer-to-dealer transactions. Installation and conversion costs are not covered due to special pricing.

10. Special Pricing

    For items sold at a special price, installation and removal costs shall not be reimbursed.
